The mugshot of Arlington, Texas rapper BL Double has surfaced after he was extradited to Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth from Arlington. Popular Arlington rapper Cristopher Griffin aka @BL_Double was reportedly arrested and booked into Arlington City Jail Thursday afternoon on 3 counts of aggravated assault after he allegedly played a role in the Wednesday night shooting that injured 3 people at popular West Side lounge/bar Temptations.
The arrest was first reported by @dallasglobalmedia and later confirmed by multiple sources. BL Double is currently being held in Arlington City Jail. According to WFAA, BL Double was allegedly involved in a large altercation. WFAA also reported that police were able to track down Bl Double after a security guard pointed out the rapper in a police line up during the investigation.
The security guard told police he witnessed the rapper fire multiple shots during the altercation and enter a white BMW that was parked at the scene. According to a statement released by Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson, the FBI Task Force, Arlington PD, and Fort Worth PD played a role in tracking and arresting BL.
Temptations is a very known destination in Arlington where large number of people visit on late nights for drinks, music and entertainment. The destination is located in the heart of a busy retail/restaurant center. All 3 victims were rushed to the hospital in private vehicles and everyone is expected to make a full recovery. A fourth person went to the hospital with minor injuries after being hit by debris from the shooting.
BL Double is reportedly documented as a felon and recently completed a 4+ year prison sentence. The rapper has over a million views on YouTube with popular songs like “Hittaz On Deck” and “Please Don’t Call My P.O. BL was also booked to perform at Arlington Music Hall in Downtown Arlington.
